The Mohamed Ali Family and the Ottoman Family and we at the Mohamed Ali Foundation are sad to inform you of the loss on Friday morning 27 September, 2024 of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabiha Fazile Ibrahim Hanimsultan.

Born 8 August, 1941 in Neuilly sur Seine, France.

Prayers for her are to be after Noon prayers at the Bebek mosque, Istanbul on Sunday 29 September,2024.

She will be buried at Aşiyan cemetery by her close family.

Father:

HRH Prince Mohamed Ali Ibrahim of Egypt ( 1900 - 1977), direct descendant of Ibrahim Pacha, eldest son of the Great Kavalali Mohamed Ali Pacha.

Mother:

HIH Princess Zehra Hanzade Sultan (1923 - 1998), daughter of HIH Şehzade Ömer Faruk Efendi son of the last Halife Abdül Mecid and HIH Rükiye Sabiha Sultan daughter of the last Sultan Mehmet Vaheddin VI.

Brother:

HRH Prince Ahmed Rifat Ibrahim ( 31 August 1942 - 2 November 2011).

Heathfield School, Ascot, Berkshire, United Kingdom.

Académie de Musique, Paris, France, maîtrise au piano.

Engagement:

September 1957 to His Majesty King Faysal II of Iraq who was then tragically murdered on 14 July, 1958.

First Marriage:

Dr Hayri Ürgüplü (1936-2017), son of H.E. Prime Minister of Turkey Suat Hayri Ürgüplü and grandson of H.E. the Ottoman Saderazam Hayrı Ürgüplü Efendi.

Ali Suat Ürgüplü ( born. 28 Sept. 1967)

Mehmet Selim Ürgüplü ( born. 31st October 1968).
